If our mission enthuses you, there are three ways to get involved in Akademie 3: 

You can be appointed to the circle of Academy members. Members contribute to the projects voluntarily. Together with other members, they develop the Academy’s content and programmes.

  1. You can support us as a Fellow of the Academy. Fellows support our work through an annual donation. In return, they receive priority access to our events and exclusive offers.

The Akademie 3 offers you the opportunity to become a Fellow if you would like to support our work.

BENEFITS FOR FELLOWS

As Fellow

  • you will be invited to an exclusive event with Akademie 3-founder Christoph Quarch once a year;
  • you may participate in our exclusive Fellow trips;
  • you have priority and discounted access to our annual Summer School and other events organised by the Akademie 3.

In addition, you will receive a signed copy of Akademie 3’s annual edition published at the end of the year.
Furthermore, we will support you in creating a convivium.

You can become a Fellow of the Akademie 3 by donating at least 1,000 euros per year.

Why create a convivium? 

Because the spirit blows wherever it wants – experience teaches us, however, that it prefers to blow where people meet with an open mind and an open heart in a protected and familiar space. By providing such a space, you create a nucleus of spirit – a small garden whose fruits will benefit you and your surroundings.

What exactly is a convivium? 

Convivia can be newly founded or existing events linked to Akademie 3 through using its impulses. For example:

  • a circle of 4 to 10 people you invite to your home once a month to talk about the really important questions of life or to share what excites and inspires you.
  • a circle of colleagues you bring together in your company once a quarter to share your common values and visions outside of the usual routines.
  • a circle of a handful of like-minded people wishing to organize a small event program at their place in the spirit of our vision.
  • … there’s a whole lot of possibilities.

What makes the difference between a convivium and other discussion groups?

Convivia, like Akademie 3, consider themselves to be a nucleus for inspiration and enthusiasm – a “thought garden” where it is not about arguing about opinions, being right or showcasing oneself. In a convivium

  • you meet each other with an open mind and an open heart;
  • you meet each other in a spirit of friendship;
  • you search together for the true, the good and the beautiful.

What is needed to create a convivium?

To start a convivium of Akademie 3,

  • you should inform us about your plans so that we can provide you with a mentor from our members for your project;
  • you should agree with our vision and values as described in our manifesto;
  • you should share our commitment to bringing a good, fresh and lively spirit into our society.

How do we support you to initiate a convivium?

As the initiator of a convivium, you are part of our network. That’s why it’s important to us that you stay in touch with us.

  • We will match you with a mentor from our circle of academics to exchange ideas with on a regular basis.
  • We will send you a handbook that explains what it takes to start a convivium.
